Connect is a group at St James’s Church for anyone in their twenties or thirties.

We meet with others on Wednesdays at 7pm for a meal and Bible teaching followed by discussion.

We aim to serve in various ways in church and in our local community and we organise regular social events.

Find us on Facebook @MeetLearnServe and take a look at the Connect blog at

Our school

We are very proud of our school. St James's Church of England Primary School in Old Jamaica Road and Alexis Street. You can visit the school website here.

Bell ringers

They make a wonderful noise every Sunday, calling the people to worship. Find out more about Dockland Ringers here. Find out about the restoration of St James's bells here and find out how you, too, could be a bell ringer here and hear the bells here. The bellringers have their practise on Tuesdays at 7.30pm, and visitors are welcome.
